Project Pretty Little Cravings

Few years ago, I fell in love at first sight. It was like heavens thoughtful act that we met at the right time. I was in need of a breather and a cozy nook to relieve the stress I was in. I heard retail therapy also works at that time, but I’m pinching some for a future big event then. So, I was really happy to be spending quality down time with this new found love, authentic budget-friendly, Swedish home decor store — Ikea. Oh, the days I spent just wandering around Ikea store, no matter how I already memorized the interior maze still brings about a gratified feeling.

When I finally settled down and owned a place to decorate and fill with all the gorgeous furnitures and fixtures, Ikea was not available readily in the Philippines. And I cringe at how expensive Manila resellers market these items.

Fast forward to 2013, I  decided to start a little project, called Pretty Little Cravings on Instagram. We were furnishing our newly turned-over condo unit and I just had to ship few items from Singapore where we were based. I figured out I can save on shipping cost if I take some orders from people who were just like me, eager to get their hands on some few pieces from Ikea. The project was well received and up until now, I still can’t believe that a lot of our avid followers are also returning customers.

Christmas Came Early

This week, Santa dropped by & I’m feeling Christmas this early.

I am all for black & white pieces these days, and this makes me one happy, giddy, blessed girl.

Bidding farewell to October full of blissful things and new beginnings while welcoming another month with open arms. November never fails to marked momentous life events for so many years. I owe it to our Dear God and my guardian angel above, the little sister I lost so early, Honey.

Ties for the Little Boys

When we were planning about our wedding, one of the things we have to decide was whether to have a black tie event or stick with the local barong tagalog for men. It was tough to pick between the two as they both have an edge over another.

For a black suit event, I love the idea of having little boys donning their stylish suit with their cute bows. My friend had even suggested to have a themed boys ties. It was a brilliant idea indeed, since I know of where to have boys ties personalized. I can even pick a silk or colored one that matches our color motif.  A perfect accessory to complement the  little men’s outfit.

Awww… who can’t resist cute boys? *giggles*

In the end, we decided to pull off a Barong Tagalog event since most of our guests don’t own a suit. Oh sad, no cute boys ties but at least my groom was elegant with his pink tie. 🙂
